The world has evolved rapidly: from paper-based repositories, to the vast information commons of the internet, and now to artificial intelligence, a new kind of living repository that creates, stores, and transforms information dynamically. As a data scientist, I see firsthand how AI is reshaping how information is created, managed, and trusted. In this talk, we will explore AI as a dynamic, evolving repository; why information governance and records management professionals are essential to building trustworthy AI systems; and how we must adapt our governance frameworks to meet the challenges of an AI-driven future.

In today’s high-stakes regulatory climate, organizations must move beyond narrow compliance to embrace a holistic approach to information governance. This keynote will explore how forward-thinking governance programs build trust, drive business value, and ensure accountability in an era defined by data proliferation, public scrutiny, and digital transformation.
We'll discuss how information governance serves as the connective tissue between records management, data privacy, ESG reporting, AI ethics, and organizational resilience. As stewards of information, governance leaders must not only manage risk—but also enable innovation and transparency across the enterprise.
The session will offer insights into aligning governance with strategic business goals, fostering a culture of information responsibility, and equipping the next generation of professionals with the tools to lead. Records management remains essential—but in this broader context, it becomes a catalyst for organization-wide integrity and agility.
